100 Things About Kristin

Okay I finally did if, I learned how to blog. Watch out world, here I come. Thanks to my friend Cassi, who came over and showed me how, I am now part of the internet. I thought I would start my first post off with something I saw a friend do on her blog, give you a list of 100 THINGS ABOUT KRISTIN. Now I realize my family will probably know all of the things on the list, but won't it be fun to think of them all again. Hope you enjoy.

1. I was born in 1978.
2. I had a horrible temper when I was little.
3. I can remember leaving hand prints on my sister from hitting her so hard.
4. I also practiced biting myself to see how hard I had to bite to make Val (little sis) cry.
5. I even got kicked out of a basketball game for fighting, though I never actually threw a punch like Val.
6. Thankfully I have calmed down a lot, but the fire still rages sometimes, especially in the car.
7. I have only had one speeding ticket so far.
8. When I got it I cried, but my father in law said, “Welcome to the family!!”
9. I think I’m a good driver, but don’t all bad drivers do?
10. I have hit a chipmunk, bird, and rabbit while driving, not on purpose there was just no avoiding it.
11. I also stepped on and killed a chipmunk, but it was sick, and I was carrying a tray of food and didn’t see it at girl’s camp.
12. I was then known as the chipmunk killer at camp, never a good thing to be known by.
13. I hate mice.
14. I love pedicure, but hate having other people’s feet touch me.
15. I also hate holding a sweaty hand, gross.
16. I had the nicknames: Blondie, Kris, Piston Honda, and KD.
17. I like playing Barbie’s, as long as they fell off a cliff and I got to put a tape cast on their arms and legs, or both for a really bad fall.
18. I snuck in before my birthday into my mom’s closet and found my Cabbage Patch Doll; I then proceeded to climb into the closet every day to rub the dolls head I was so excited to get one. Until my mom caught me and with disappointment told me I had ruined my birthday.
19. I share my birthday with my best friend. I remember when we met in the 1st grade; after introducing myself I asked when her birthday was and to find out we shared the same day made us best friends for life.
20. I think ice cream should be a mandatory food you must eat every day, at least during the summer.
21. And during the winter to not have hot chocolate in the house is a sin.
22. I love my teeth, and am so thankful my parents could afford braces.
23. I also really like my chin; my Dad always said it was the Davis Chin, which still makes me proud.
24. I’m the fourth out of five kids.
25. I have four boys.
26. I will try until six for a girl and then I am done; or at least until I am 32, I want to be 50 when the last one leaves the house.
27. I want to serve a mission someday.
28. I have been on one cruise.
29. I would love to travel the world in a cruise ship.
30. Until I left for collage I lived in one house, that my dad built, my whole life.
31. Growing up I thought my Dad could fix anything, I still think he can.
32. I hate dusting.
33. I have horribly messy closets.
34. I hate being late.
35. I actually have to plan to show up “fashionably late” to an event.
36. I love to cook.
37. I think I am a good cook.
38. But I think my mom is the best cook ever.
39. I am a compulsive reader, once I start a good book I will stay up all night to finish reading it. My brother Steve gave my great advice one night when he found me reading until 2am. He said, “You can read as late as you want, but you have to be nice and happy the next day or mom will know.” Thanks Steve.
40. I love Harry Potter.
41. I have read the books so many times I have lost count.
42. I even helped my next door neighbor with her homework, a test on Harry Potter. I knew answers she couldn’t remember.
43. I have a rule my sons can’t watch the Harry Potter movies until they have read the books.
44. I also love Pride and Prejudice and watched the movie three times in one day. Matt was on call, I needed it.
45. I am a horrible speller.
46. I hate little dogs and have to fight a great urge to drop kick them across the room whenever I am around them. I think they have short man syndrome for dogs, because then are so mean and never stop yapping.
47. I also hate cats.
48. Pretty much I am a Lab dog all the way and we will get a dog when Andrew and Caleb are big enough to help take care of the dog.
49. I think a dog should be allowed inside the house.
50. I have blue eyes.
51. I am so thankful I don’t have to wear contacts, yet.
52. My hair was so blonde when I was little you couldn’t see my eyebrows until I was 5 years old.
53. I will stay a blonde my whole life. To quote my aunt, as long as I can raise my arm over my head to pour the bottle of blonde on I will be blonde.
54. I’ve lived in four states, and will move at least two more times.
55. I have been to 21 states.

60. I didn’t get into Ricks collage, but I did get into BYU.
61. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.
62. I went out on a date with a guy from every sports team at BYU my freshman year, I even went out with a band member.
63. I have no rhythm and should not be allowed to dance in public.
64. I was told by a dance teacher from a teaching children how to dance class that, “I hope you never have to teach someone to dance.”
65. I can walk a chew gum at the same time, and even go up stairs as well.

68. I’m addicted to TV.
69. I let my children watch way to much TV and promise to do better every day.
70. I have a strong sense of smell, maybe it’s the whole been pregnant to many times, but my sniffer works great, to well at times.
71. I hate the smell of garlic on some ones breath, but I love to eat it. So always make sure you bring me some if you are eating it.
72. I hate the smell of fish, and hate to eat it ever since I got sick on it when I was pregnant with Caleb.
73. I think chocolate should be eaten at least once a day.
74. I had in imaginary friend as a child, named Dot.
75. Two imaginary friends actually, the other one was named Dot 2. Dot protected me from Dot 2 who ate my fingernails. They were twin brothers, hence the same name. Come on I was a little girl, it’s hard to come up with a new name.
76. I have had two concussions, a broken thumb and dislocated my finger twice.
77. I started an “I hate Julianna” club when I was in high school, I was president. We didn’t do anything, just talk to each other when she did something that really made us mad.

83. My first job was a nanny up at Lake Tahoe.
84. I also worked at hearing aid office; my best day was when a man came out after getting his hearing aids and asked where the bathroom was. I directed him to the door. When he was finished he came to pay for the aids, I asked him how he liked them. His reply, “They are wonderful, that is the first time I have heard myself pee in over five years.” I had to hold back busting a gut laughing until he left.

100. I say I’m sorry multiple times everyday. To the point that a guy stopped me in the store and told me I didn’t need to apologize for him hitting my cart, it was his fault.

Kristin-
Great job! Your blog is awesome. Where did you come up with 'Kristin's 100'? Did you have a list of questions or did you just start typing? Love your story of the Monson girls - I miss them so much! And you will too in just a few short weeks. Take care and come visit your family this summer!

That list is so great! Maybe someday I will get up the courage to do one myself. I'm not sure I could think of 100 interesting things about me though--I'm pretty blah.
