Labor Day--LAST day of Summer

We started the morning off with a 5k family fun run. Caleb set a goal to run the whole thing this year and asked me to run with him. He started off strong, but was trip up even before we got out of the parking lot. It was an ugly crash. Scuffed up on both knees, hands and even his face, at first he didn't want to run any more. But we waited, let him catch his breath, let everyone else run on, and he finally decided to keep going. He ended up finishing strong, with a time of 27 Min's (not counting our break for the fall). I was so proud of him. This picture doesn't do the scratched justice.

We then went to the lake to play, have a picnic, swim and boat.

Matt even did some wake boarding.

Kristin tried.

This was the closest I came to getting up.

It was a wonderful way to spend the last day of summer.
